About the Net
The Henderson Amateur Radio Club is pleased to present our Tek Net every Sunday evening, starting at 8 PM local time (0300 UTC).
The audio portion of the Tek Net will be found on the Henderson Amateur Radio Club Repeater Network, or what many refer to as the “Link System.” The audio may also be accessed via Echolink (W7HEN-R node 740644) and Allstar (node 44045).
The Net Control Station will refer to the content on this page. Check back here on Sunday Night to see what the topic will be for the Tek-Net.
All are welcome, especially those checking-in from out of the area via AllStar Link.
The Earl Lizardi WB6AMT Memorial Tek Net has three main goals:

Our Namesake
The official name of the club’s Tek Net is the Earl Lizardi WB6AMT Memorial Tek Net. The Tek Net is dedicated to its creator, Earl Lizardi (WB6AMT – SK).
Earl’s great passion in life was to show anyone who might be interested what amateur radio is, and how much fun it could be. Other clubs may have their Elmers. Our Elmer happened to be named Earl.
On his QRZ page, Earl wrote, “Realizing that “Elmer’s” are the backbone at introducing a young person into this great hobby, stuck with me for the rest of my life. I continue to try to provide guidance, enthusiasm when I can, especially to young folks interested in amateur radio.”
Meet the Net Director
Dan Nezgoda W7IVK is a local broadcast engineer. He has made a career of working in AM, FM, and TV broadcasting. He has also done work in land mobile two-way communications.
As Dan W7IVK starts every net, “I can tell you from personal experience that amateur radio opened up a world of both technical learning and social networking, which led to the career path I am on today.”
