Welcome to Our Group

Welcome to the website of the Henderson Amateur Radio Club! Our club callsign is W7HEN (HEN=Henderson). We are based on the southern edge of the Las Vegas metropolitan valley, in Henderson, Nevada. We are very proud to be an ARRL-Approved Affiliate Club. We encourage all Hams everywhere to join and support the ARRL.

We were formed in late 2016 to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternalism and individual operating efficiency, and to so conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the Las Vegas Valley. You are welcome to join us as a guest or as a member!

Click on the Join Now link and fill out a membership application and send it to us, and we’ll make sure you are added to our membership roster right away.

All persons interested in Amateur Radio communications shall be eligible for membership (which we encourage). Membership shall be by Application and election upon such terms as the Henderson Amateur Radio Club shall provide in its By-Laws.

We invite all properly licensed Amateur Radio Operators to check into our nets on our linked repeater system:

  • Sunday Night Net – Join in at 7 PM on our W7HEN Club Repeater Network over one of our local repeaters, via Echolink, or through Allstar. Guests are always welcome! Please join in!
  • New Ham Net – If you are a new ham, you are especially invited to the HARC New Ham Net every Thursday at 6 PM. Experienced hams are also invited to participate, especially to help serve as Elmers.
  • Tek Net – Join us on at 8 PM on Sunday nights after the “regular” net for the Earl Lizardi WB6AMT-sk Memorial Tek Net hosted by local broadcast engineer Dan W7IVK. The net features a weekly topic of discussion and is for experts and beginners alike.
