SKYWARN Recognition Day is back in person for 2022!

Everyone is welcome.  You do not need to be a spotter or SKYWARN member to attend.  Come on by and enjoy the event.  Feel free to invite fellow members of any of your local radio clubs.

When:

Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 – Radio operations will begin at 8:00 AM and will continue through mid-afternoon

Where:

NWS Las Vegas – 7851 S. Dean Martin Drive, Las Vegas, NV. 89139 (in the area of the Silverton Casino)

New for this year:

• Clark County ARES/RACES monthly training will be held concurrently with the SRD event.
• New technology radiosonde balloon launch.  The NWS has updated their radiosonde program and will be highlighting it during their regular launch that day.  Preparations for launch should start about 1:45 PM that day.

Station confirmations are needed. 

If you plan on bringing a station please let Jeff –  KE7KLV know.  The organizers need at least two HF rigs to run throughout the event.
