TEK NET

The Henderson Amateur Radio Club is pleased to present our Tek Net every Sunday evening, starting at 8pm local time (0300 UTC).

The audio portion of the Tek Net will be found on the Henderson Amateur Radio Club Repeater Network (RF).  The audio may also be accessed via Echolink (W7HEN-R node 740644) and Allstar (node 44045).

The audio will refer to this page, so that the listener can more fully understand the concepts as they are presented.

All are welcome!

ASK the PROS night ( often called Stump the Chumps night)

My apologies to all our Tek Net friends for not being here last week.

I hope our regulars took it upon themselves to have a great round table type discussion.

I have been without a companion here at my house for the last 18 months, any hams that have been to my QTH to get parts or equipment was aware of Zues (my ‘friendly’ stranger greeter of 13 years….lol) and it was about time for me to get a new four legged friend.

I made the trip to California to pick her up and because of other passengers in the car using my ham radio was out of the question, so I was out of touch for the net.

As you can see my new friend is a little on the small size but will grow and be seen at many ham radio functions in the future I’m sure.

On with tonight’s Tek Net…

This being our third Sunday of the month means that it is ASK the PROS night ( often called Stump the Chumps night).

As always I invite any and all questions you may have about radio, antennas or just about anything electronics related.

We always have an excellent group of check-ins each week that lend their experiences and background creating a Tek Net that serves the participants, as well as entertains.

Let’s hear from you about your current project or issue you may be having.

With Field Day next weekend let’s hear from everyone that plans on participating during Field Day

I know I’ll be there manning my IC7300 on FT8 in the American Legion trailer outside the AL meeting hall from about 9pm until 6am Sunday morning.

(Those are my favorite hours for Field Day operation).

THANK YOU to all the participants on tonight’s TEK NET.

Please send your comments on tonight’s Tek Net and any suggestions for topics you would like to see in the future to wb6amt@gmail.com (please note the new email address) or text to 702-372-9891.

73 until next week.
