The Henderson Amateur Radio Club held its 2024 Fall Picnic on Saturday, October 27 at Sunset Park in the Desert Willow Picnic Grove. It was a warm October day filled with a lot of radio excitement. Some operators brought out HF gear to work the CQ World Wide Contest. Other operators brought out their fox hunting equipment. Founding President Eric N6YKE and Andy KJ7RFN hosted a class on fox hunting. After the class, participants were able to get practical hands on experience with a small pedestrian fox hunt in the park for the kids.

The club’s picnics have become one of the hottest ticket items in town. As always, the club welcomes all with an interest in radio to participate in our events. Members were invited and encouraged to bring out their XYLs, kids, and grandkids for an afternoon of fellowship and radio.
