The Henderson Amateur Radio Club sponsors a simplex net on 146.520 MHz every last Saturday of the month. All are welcome!

Our simplex net is held every last Saturday of the month at 8 PM on 146.520 MHz. All licensed amateur radio operators are welcomed and encouraged to participate in our monthly 2m simplex net.

Why on 146.520 MHz? Isn’t that the call frequency?

That’s precisely why we do this once-a-month net on 146.520 MHz. In the event of a prolonged emergency, most repeaters in the region will eventually run out of battery power or generator fuel. Hams will be required to switch to simplex. Since 146.520 MHz is the frequency that the ARRL has delineated as the national calling frequency, what better place to get people to gather for a monthly drill?
